The side-pouring Jug appears to be unique to Aller Vale within these potteries. Most commonly they are 4″ high, but 3″ and 5″ are sometimes found. They come in several patterns, namely Kerswell Daisy (I4); Q1; Scandy and Cockerels. Some examples are fairly crudely made and are probably early production, usually I4 and Q1, whereas the later are well-made. They are interesting because of the variety of pattern variations that can be found.
