Being a member of the Torquay Pottery Collectors Society (TPCS) will mean that you become a member of the TPCS family, and will be able to attend the Society Meetings in Cheltenham (March), Kingskerswell in Devon (May/June), the AGM in Torquay (September) and Byley in Cheshire (October). It also gives you full voting rights at the AGM where future policy is decided, and the right to bid for pots in the Grand Auction that follows the AGM. You will also receive a copy of the excellent quarterly Society magazine, Scandy, which is edited by Andy Violet. It is crammed full of photographs of our pottery, and informative features and research, plus members articles about their latest finds and favourite pots. the magazine is the jewel in the Society’s crown, and many consider it worth the cost of membership on its own.
SO WHAT IS THE COST AND HOW DO YOU BECOME A MEMBER? The cost of single membership is £22.00 a year, with joint membership (for a couple) costing £24.00 a year. If you live in mainland Europe you should add £3.00 to those figures and £10.00 for the Rest of the World, to reflect the cost of posting the magazine. We are currently making new PayPal arrangements to make paying your subs very easy, either in the UK or from abroad, and when those new arrangements are up and running, we will update this page accordingly. In the meantime however, please email our Membership Secretary, Liz Frood, at email@example.com and she will be only too happy to help you.
New members are essential to the future and continued success of the Society, and becoming a member of the Torquay Pottery Collectors Society will greatly enhance your enjoyment and knowledge of the pottery that we all love. Go on, email Liz today.
