CONDITIONS OF SALE AND AUCTION PROCEDURES

Prospective bidders are requested to obtain a bidding slip from the desk before bidding for any lot. Where possible, please register during the view or before the sale, as this will assist us in administration of buyer’s accounts.

Care is taken to ensure that any statement as to attribution, date and age is reliable and accurate, but all such statements of vendor’s opinion are not to be taken as declarations or representation of fact.

Intending purchasers must satisfy themselves, by inspection or otherwise, as to the physical description of any lot and as to whether any lot has been damaged or repaired.

Whilst every care will be taken, the Committee and Auctioneer act as agents only and neither they nor the TPCS are responsible for the description of any lot.

All lots are put up for sale subject to any reserve price imposed by the vendor.

In order to complete the auction in the most efficient manner would members please note the procedure to be followed after the final lot has been sold.

1 All auction sales WILL BE SUBJECT TO £1.00 BUYERS PREMIUM FOR EACH LOT.

2 THE COMMISSION FOR LOTS SOLD OR UNSOLD IS £5.00 (Member) or £7.50 Non Member)

3 Successful bidders must proceed to the cashiers table where the Treasurer will receive their payment (cash or cheque payable to TPCS) and issue a Buyers Statement summarising the lot (s) they have bought.

4 The Buyers Statement should then be taken to the committee members officiating at the auction who will release the pot(s) accordingly.

5 Vendors will be given a Sellers Statement, which should be shown to the committee members officiating at the auction who will release unsold pot(s) accordingly.

Sellers will be paid the net amounts due to them by cheque within 21 DAYS AFTER THE AUCTION
